Buluhmas Under Bank Negara Probe Still Operating

TANJUNG KARANG, Oct 14 (Bernama) -- Buluhmas Enterprise Sdn Bhd, an advertising agency being investigated by Bank Negara for illegal deposit-taking, is still operating as usual, says company secretary Abu Bakar Abu Hassan.

The media reported Tuesday that Bank Negara raided four companies -- Buluhmas, Jazmeen (M) Sdn Bhd, Noradz Travel & Services Sdn Bhd and Eastana Farm Industries Sdn Bhd -- for suspicion of being involved in get-rich-quick scheme by taking deposits without licence and investing illegally in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and Negeri Sembilan.

Abu Bakar said a meeting was held here with promoters who came from as far as Pahang and Terengganu to explain the actual situation on Bank Negara's investigations into the company.

"Since the company is still under Bank Negara investigations, payment of wages to promoters and recruitment of new promoters have been deferred until investigations are concluded and a decision is made later," he told reporters at the company head office at Taman Raden Jaya here.

Meanwhile, a notice has been pasted on main door, which says "Attention: Payment and submission of forms have been deferred until informed via the website. Please take note."
